A master’s thesis presented by Raghad Abbas Haseeb, titled “Investigation of the Pharmacological Effects of Nimesulide in Broiler Chicks: Impact of Hydrogen Peroxide-Induced Oxidative Stress”

The College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Mosul, held the defense of a master’s thesis entitled “Investigation of the Pharmacological Effects of Nimesulide in Broiler Chicks: Impact of Hydrogen Peroxide-Induced Oxidative Stress” by Raghad Abbas Haseeb (Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology) on Monday, August 18, 2025.

The study demonstrated the analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory efficacy of nimesulide in broiler chicks, while highlighting that oxidative stress induced by hydrogen peroxide modifies these effects and alters the drug’s pharmacokinetics.

The examination committee consisted of:

Prof. Dr. Banan Khalid Abdulrahman – Chair

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yasser Mohammed Amin – Member

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mab Azmi Fadel – Member
