Researchers from several Arab and foreign countries also discussed veterinary contributions to protecting the environment and natural resources, supporting sustainable animal husbandry practices that improve production efficiency and reduce environmental impact, and addressing the rapid health and environmental challenges facing the world today.

The conference activities were attended by Professor Dr. Abdulrahim Ibrahim Jassim, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, and Dr. Alaa Hussein Al-Hasnawi, President of the Iraqi Veterinary Syndicate, along with several deans of colleges at the University of Mosul and other veterinary colleges across Iraq. Also present were researchers and academics from Iraqi and Arab universities, who emphasized the importance of strengthening scientific and research cooperation in this vital field to advance the Sustainable Development Goals both locally and globally.

On the sidelines of the conference, an exhibition of veterinary medicines and medical supplies was opened, along with a scientific poster display featuring research projects by fifth-year students for the academic year 2024–2025.
