Workshop on Gender-Responsive Budgeting
The Financial Affairs Division and the Women’s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning — Sustainable Development Unit at the University Presidency, held a workshop titled “The Concept of Gender-Responsive Budgeting” on Tuesday, 2 December 2025.
The workshop was presented by Mr. Ali Abdulilah Kamil, Mr. Alaa Nofal Qasim, and Mr. Ammar Younis Khalil. It aimed to introduce the concept of gender-responsive budgeting, its objectives and components, the challenges facing its implementation, and finally recommendations to activate gender-responsive budgeting.
This workshop aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
