Workshop titled: “How to Design a Home Garden from A to Z”
As part of a series of workshops aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, the Agricultural Committee at the College of Veterinary Medicine, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit at the University Presidency, held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, the workshop entitled “How to Design a Home Garden from A to Z.”
The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Dr. Mustafa Salem Shukr (Department of Microbiology). It included an introduction to the concept of a home garden, how to establish and design it, and the impact of its presence on the residents of the house.
This workshop came in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 13 (Climate Action), Goal 15 (Life on Land), and Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), by promoting environmental awareness, encouraging eco-friendly agricultural practices, and increasing green spaces.
