Workshops to Develop Postgraduate Students’ Skills

As part of the Postgraduate Skills Development Program, and in line with the college’s commitment to enhancing the capabilities of postgraduate students and ensuring its active participation in this program, three workshops were delivered on Sunday, December 21, 2025, by:

  1. Prof. Dhafer Mohammed Aziz (Department of Surgery and Animal Reproduction), who presented a workshop titled “Challenges of Publishing in Scopus‑Indexed Journals.” The workshop addressed how to select an appropriate journal for scientific publication, and the common obstacles researchers encounter.
  2. Prof. Safwan Yousif Al‑Baroudi (Department of Microbiology), who delivered a workshop titled “How to Analyze Scientific Research.” The session focused on methods of data analysis, one of the most critical stages of scientific research—through which researchers derive the results upon which their studies rely.
  3. Prof. Wasan Amjad Ahmed (Department of Microbiology), who presented a workshop titled “How to Perform Scientific Investigation.” The workshop covered the steps of conducting organized research and experimentation, including how to choose a research title, along with its advantages and limitations.

At the conclusion of the workshops, an open discussion was held, allowing participants to exchange experiences and insights, creating a productive scientific atmosphere that enriched the overall benefit of the program.

Wishing our esteemed professors continued success in their academic and scientific endeavors
