The Iraqi Journal of Veterinary Sciences is an online, peer-reviewed, scientific, journal which cover all areas in veterinary basic and clinical science. Publishing under the license of Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC-BY). The Iraqi Journal of Veterinary Sciences is published twice a year by the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Mosul, Iraq since January 1988.

IJVS publishes original research articles, review papers and case reports in the field of veterinary science. This journal has been indexed in well-known world databases such as Scopus, DOAJ, PubMed, Hinary, and IASJ. IJVS requires a 100 US$ fee for publishing an accepted manuscript. The journal is not financially supported by any governmental or non-governmental organization.

The Iraqi Journal of VeterinarySciences interlocks various scientific disciplines, such as Veterinary Biology, Physiology, Biochemistry, Histology and Embryology, Genetics, Microbiology, Mycology, Pathology, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Virology, Zoology, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Clinical Pathology, Theriogenology, Immunology, Surgery, Poultry Diseases and Molecular and translational veterinary medicine.

The ethical policy of IJVS is based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines and complies with IJVS Editorial Board codes of conduct. Readers, authors, reviewers and editors should follow these ethical policies once working with IJVS. The ethical policy of IJVS is liable to determine which of the typical research papers or articles submitted to the journal should be published in the concerned issue.

The goal of the IJVS is to encourage excellence by providing a venue for researchers and scientist to publish significant experimental and theoretical findings in all area of veterinary medical science and their applied fields and share internationally.
