Sustainable development takes into account social and environmental dimensions alongside economic aspects to ensure the optimal use of available resources to meet the needs of individuals while preserving the rights of future generations. The world faces the serious threat of environmental degradation, which must be overcome without abandoning economic development needs, as well as social equity and justice.
Sustainable development aims to provide a good quality of life for humans while maintaining a balanced and sustainable ecological system. It includes the sustainable use of natural resources, protection of biodiversity, and preservation of the planet’s natural capital. Achieving sustainable development requires the interaction of governments, businesses, and civil society to realize comprehensive and sustainable progress.
