Professor Yasmin Abdul Karim Muhammad Ali, Dean of the College of Archaeology, participated in the Grand National Campaign to Eradicate Literacy in Iraq under the patronage of the Prime Minister.

The Dean of the College of Archaeology, University of Mosul, Participates in the Grand National Campaign to Eradicate Literacy in Iraq. Professor Yasmin Abdul Karim Muhammad Ali, Dean of the College of Archaeology, participated in the Grand National Campaign to Eradicate Literacy in Iraq under the patronage of the Prime Minister.
The Permanent National Committee for Awareness and Community Guidance at the Prime Minister’s Office held a launch ceremony for the Grand National Campaign to Eradicate Literacy in Iraq on Saturday, April 26, 2025. The event was attended by Sheikh Dr. Muhammad al-Nouri, Vice Chairman of the Committee, and Dr. Hussein al-Bukhati, Chairman of the Literacy Campaign, along with a group of security, academic, and community figures.
In his speech, Dr. Haider al-Saadi, Chairman of the Permanent National Committee for Awareness and Community Guidance and Advisor to the Prime Minister, conveyed the greetings of the Prime Minister to those present, praising the efforts of the Prime Minister and his continued support for educational, cultural, and development programs in Iraq.
Dr. Al-Saadi emphasized that eradicating illiteracy is a shared national responsibility, requiring the combined efforts of the state, civil society, the private sector, religious figures, and the media, with the goal of reaching all those deprived of the opportunity to learn and restoring hope.
In his speech, Dr. Hussein Al-Bukhati expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Prime Minister for his confidence in entrusting him with leading the major national literacy campaign. He affirmed his commitment to serving our beloved Iraq, while also expressing his gratitude and appreciation to the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Education for their significant support of the campaign.
In his speech, the Head of the Executive Authority for Literacy at the Ministry of Education affirmed his full support for the national campaign, praising the cooperation and integration between state institutions to achieve the campaign’s goals of building an informed and educated society. The festival also featured a number of speeches commending the government’s serious commitment to developing the education sector and its commitment to building the individual in a healthy way that contributes to the development of society. They also commended the efforts of the Permanent National Committee for Community Awareness and Guidance and its effective role in instilling the concepts of love, brotherhood, and peaceful coexistence in society.
