The participation of the Dean of the College of Archaeology in a lecture at the Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies

As part of fostering scientific engagement and building bridges of academic communication among institutions, universities, and centers, Professor Dr. Yasmin Abdul Karim Muhammad Ali, Dean of the College of Archaeology, participated in a specialized workshop marking World Desertification Day. The workshop was organized by the Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies in Baghdad—affiliated with the Prime Minister’s Office / National Security Advisory—in cooperation with ‘Nesmat Ataa’ and the Public Aid Organization (PAO) on Monday, June 22, 2026. During the event, held at the Tigris Hall within the Al-Nahrain Center, Dr. Yasmin presented her research paper titled: ‘The City of Hatra Between Desertification Sands and Factors of Extinction: A Study on Environmental Threats.’
