A Higher Diploma thesis on the Protection of Multiculturalism and Its Role in Enacting Peaceful Coexistence Was Examined at the Center for PeaceBuilding Studies, College of Arts.

A higher diploma thesis on (The Protection of Multiculturalism and Its Role in Enacting Peaceful Coexistence: A Case Study in Al-Hamdaniya District) was examined on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the Department of Sociology. The examination was attended by a number of professors and some postgraduate students.
The thesis, presented by Jivara Zia Yukhana, tackled the multiculturalism concept, which refers to the existence of humanitarian groups, which enjoy cultural backgrounds with different aspects such as nationality, religion, language and are based on a common ground. The study aims at explicating and accentuating the importance of protecting multiculturalism, international conventions, and national constitutions. Finally, the study clarified that the protection of multiculturalism will reflect positively on creating a culture of harmony, understanding, and communication among multicultural communities.
