A master’s thesis at the College of arts, on: (Social problems of the families of martyrs after 2014 – a field study in the Shirqat district).

The College of Arts at the University of Mosul discussed a master’s thesis on (Social problems of the families of martyrs after 2014 – a field study in the Shirqat district), On Thursday, October 5th, 2023, with the attendance of a number of faculty members of the Sociology Department, as well as a number of postgraduate students.
The thesis, submitted by Khaled Fouad Al-Din Zaher, at the Department of Sociology, dealt with the social problems of the families of martyrs after the year 2014 AD in the Shirqat district of Ninewa Governorate, as an attempt to identify the most important of these problems in order to develop proposals and recommendations to solve them or mitigate their negative effects. As well as signifying the official government efforts and the efforts of non-governmental organizations provided to these families.
The study concluded that most of these families, after losing their breadwinner, suffer from multiple, overlapping and complex problems, and that government efforts to alleviate the burden on these families do not meet the required level.
