College of Basic Education

The College of Basic Education at the University of Mosul discussed a master’s thesis entitled (Explanation of Qatar Al-Nada and Bal Al-Sada by Muhammad bin Muhammad bin Ahmed, known as Sabt Al-Mardini, d. 912 AH, a study and investigation), on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, in the Umm Al-Rabi’in Hall in the college. Part of it was attended by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus Saleh, and a number of the department’s lecturers.
The thesis submitted by the student (Ahmed Khaled Fawzy Abdel) of the Department of (Arabic Language/Language) aimed at scientific investigation of the book and presenting its text in a precise manner in terms of control and form according to the rules of the art of textual investigation. In its first section, it dealt with a brief definition of Ibn Hisham Al-Ansari and a narration of the most important things related to its text from explanations, marginal notes, reports and poetry, and an introduction to Subt Al-Mardini, his era, his scientific life, and an explanation of his method in his book and the sources he relied on and a description of the three approved handwritten copies, then moving to the second section, which is the verified text.
The discussion committee was headed by Professor Dr. Maan Yahya Muhammad, and the membership of each of Professor Dr. Zahraa Saad Al-Din Sheet, Assistant Professor Dr. Salwa Younis Khader, and Professor Dr. Rafe Ibrahim Muhammad as a member and supervisor.
