IntroductionOur college was established in 1993 under the title college of teachers aims to prepare academicllay educationally qualified elite to teach in basic education schools ( rimary and intermediate ) to participate in developing educational and learning reality to be peacon of knowledge and information in all fields to realize academic development in iraqIn 2001 , M.A.studies began in special education ( methodologies of basic education ) .This was rout to follow by other departments : Arabic languages , physical education , history , kindergarten and english language , as well as Ph.D. in Arabic . In 2003 , the college founded its academic magazine entitled magazine of researches of college of basic education , an autentic academic periodic magazine , accepts researches in Arabic and English within speciality of college . the ISSN of college was 1992-7902 . college is a member of academic society of education colleges in arab universities . in 2004 a ministerial order issued to change the name of college into basic education , to alter branches into departments , to begin specialization from 1st year not 2nd . college give Bsc. Degree of basic education in 1-islamic education 2-pysical education 3-special education 4-kindergarten 5-arabic language 6-english language 7-general sciences 8-mathematics 9-history 10-geography 11-first class teachersCollege adopts courses system , with two semesters followed by mid and final years examsIn 8th semester ( 4th year ) students apply in primary and basic scools for a whole semester as well as graduation project
