College of Basic Education

The College of Basic Education at the University of Mosul discussed a master’s thesis on (Al-Hafiz Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbali and his sayings on criticism and correction, a critical applied study in his book “Al-Takhwif Min Al-Nar”) on Monday 9/8/2025 in the (Political Sciences) Hall in the college. The thesis was attended by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus Al-Jarisi and a number of the department’s lecturers.
The thesis submitted by the student (Osama Ahmed Saleh Al-Jabouri) from the Department of Islamic Education aimed to (introduce an important figure in the science of Hadith, namely Imam Al-Hafiz Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbali)
. The study addressed several axes, including: (Introducing the science of criticism and modification, its general and specific terms, and critical statements of the narrators who were criticized).
The study reached many results, including: (Identifying the statements of Al-Hafiz Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbali and comparing them with other critical statements of the critics, may God have mercy on them all).
The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Abdul-Jawad Salem Othman, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Zainab Hekmat Abdul-Razzaq, Dr. Ammar Badr Fattah, and Assistant Professor Dr. Abu Dhar Luqman Muhammad Amin Al-Habar as a member and supervisor.
