Master’s thesis in the College of Basic Education on (Contributions of female scholars from the Levant to scientific life in the book “Al-Durar Al-Kamina fi A’yan Al-Ma’at Al-Thamina” by Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani (d. 852 AH/1448 AD))….

The College of Basic Education at the University of Mosul discussed a master’s thesis on (The contributions of female scholars from Syria to scientific life in the book “Al-Durar Al-Kamina fi A’yan Al-Mi’at Al-Thamina” by Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani (d. 852 AH / 1448 AD), on Monday, September 8, 2025, in the “Al-Hadba” Hall in the college.
The thesis, presented by the student (Yasser Sayer Khattab Al-Shammari) from the Department of (History), aimed to (monitor the biographies of female scholars from Syria in the book “Al-Durar Al-Kamina” and determine their scientific characteristics).
The study addressed several axes, including: Introduction: Introducing Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani, his book, and his method in presenting biographies of women.

. The study reached many results, including: (The study revealed a vivid picture of female scholars in the Levant, as it became clear that women were not a marginal element in the field of knowledge, but rather were active partners in the circles of science. (various).
The discussion committee was headed by Professor Dr. Fathi Salem Hamidi, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Maysar Muhammad Baha’ al-Din, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Hussein, and (Assistant Professor Dr. Akab Youssef Juma) as a member and supervisor……
