College of Basic Education Evaluates a Course on Electronic Games and Their Impact

 

The College of Basic Education – Department of Primary School Teachers held an awareness and educational course for teachers and students over two days, Tuesday and Wednesday, December 23 and 24, 2025. The course was presented by:

The course covered comprehensive information about the types of electronic games and their psychological, linguistic, social, and intellectual impact. These games are a popular type of entertainment, especially among children, adolescents, and young adults, and their direct and indirect, long-term effects were discussed. The course addressed several topics, including how to address the problems these groups face in real life, overcome difficulties, and choose appropriate behaviors to reduce addiction to these games. The course aimed to highlight the positive and negative aspects of electronic games. Active participation from attendees fostered an interactive atmosphere, addressing various challenges, particularly academic ones, and exploring ways to reduce or quit addiction. It also emphasized the value of the educational field within practical training.
