Vision, mission, and objectives
Vision:
The Geography Department is the representative body in applying qualitative standards in preparing the geography teacher academically and professionally, developing his capabilities and raising his level at the local, regional and global levels.
Mission:
Preparing educationally and scientifically qualified cadres capable of teaching the subject of geography and its sciences in the basic education stages, in addition to enabling him to carry out procedures for implementing scientific geographic research and employing geography in the fields of society.
Objectives:
The department aims to prepare a competent university teacher capable of performing the task of teaching in primary schools in a way that prepares the student to absorb the science of geography and its concepts and keep pace with technical and scientific developments in all geographical specializations, while enabling him to predict the topographic features and locations of cities and countries in the atlas and blank maps, in addition to providing him with a scientific research method specialized in geography.
