Master Thesis Viva-Biology Department

Master Thesis Viva in the College of Education for Pure Science entitled” The Effect of Using Round Robin on Achievement of Fourth Scientific Grade Students in Biology and Developing Their Sequential Thinking”The College of Education for Pure Science, University of Mosul, has done the Master Thesis Viva entitled ” The Effect of Using Round Robin on Achievement of Fourth Scientific Grade Students in Biology and Developing Their Sequential Thinking “,On Sunday, August 14, 2022, the respected Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Qais Ismail Ibrahim, the Honorable Scientific Associate and Administrative Associate, the Honorable Head of the Department of Biology, and a number of the college’s teachers were attended the viva. In this study, presented by the M.Sc. Student Alaa Jamal Hussien Algargari in the Department of Biology,The aim of the research is to identify the effect of the Round Robin strategy on the achievement of fourth grade students in biology and the development of their sequential thinking. The research sample amounted to (55) students of the fourth scientific grade, who were randomly selected from the research community. The choice was made on Amer Abdullah Applied Secondary School in the city of Mosul for the academic year (2021-2022), and it was divided into two equal groups with a number of variables (intelligence quotient and general average for the previous year). and achievement in biology for the previous year, age in months, and sequential thinking). The first was considered experimental, who studied biology according to the Round Robin strategy, and amounted to (25) students, and the second was considered as an officer, who studied the same subject in the usual way, and amounted to (30) students. To achieve the goal of the research and its seven null hypotheses, this requires two tools, the first of which is an achievement test in biology, which was prepared by the researcher and whose final form consists of (40) objective test items of the type of multiple choice, the specific comparison, and marking the deaf fees. The difficulty and discriminatory strength of its paragraphs, all of which were within the acceptable range of difficulty and discrimination, as well as the effectiveness of the wrong alternatives for the multiple choice paragraphs. As for the second tool, it is the sequential thinking test prepared by the researcher and consisting in its final form of (52) paragraphs distributed on (5) skills that measure sequential thinking (linguistic communication, organization, analysis, processing ideas, conclusion), and to implement the research experience he prepared teaching plans according to a strategy Round Robin and the usual method. The subject teacher was assigned to carry out the experiment, starting from (11-25-2021). After the experiment was completed, the researcher applied the two tools to the sample members on (25-1-2022) and then analyzed the data statistically using the t-test for two independent samples. The Viva committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Raed Idris Mahmoud/ Tikrit University/College of Education for Girls and the membership of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Gohar Mohamed Amin/ Mosul University/College of Education for Pure Science, Asst.
