Master Thesis Viva in the College of Education for Pure Science entitled ” Some Classes in Ideal Topological Spaces ”

The College of Education for Pure Science, University of Mosul, has done the Master Thesis Viva entitled ” Some Classes in Ideal Topological Spaces “,

On Sunday, July 16, 2023, the College staff including the respected Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Qais Ismail Ibrahim, the Honorable Scientific Associate and Administrative Associate, the Honorable Head of the Department of Mathematics, and a number of the college’s teachers were attended the viva.

The aim of this study, presented by the Master student Mohammed Wasfi Mohammed in the Department of Mathematics, is to study i-open and ii -open sets which have been studied in detail by (Askander,Mohammed,2018) and (Abdullah,Mohammed,2019) in topological spaces as well as in soft topological spaces; in the different, more general, topological spaces. Specifically the ideal topological space, the generalized topological space and the ideal generalized topological space and they are named according to the spaces defined by them as follows: I-i-open set, I-ii-open set, ϻ-i-open set, , ϻ-ii-open set, ϻ-I-i-open set and ϻ-I-ii-open set and we were able to obtain the properties, characteristics, and relationships of these sets in the aforementioned spaces, and we compared them with standard classes of sets namely alpha- open and semi-open.

The Viva committee was chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Rana Bahjat Esmaeel / University of Baghdad/ College of Education for Pure Science/ Ibn al-Haytham and the membership of Asst. Prof. Dr. Baida Suhail Abdullah / University of Mosul, College of Education for Pure Science, Lecturer Dr. Sabih Wadie Askandar Qaqos / University of Mosul, College of Education for Pure Science and under the supervision and membership of Prof. Dr. Amir Abdulillah Mohammed / University of Mosul, College of Education for Pure Science.
