The College of Education for Pure Science, University of Mosul, has done the Master Thesis Viva entitled ” Effect of heavy metals on coding for some genes in Rhizobium and Agrobacterium bacteria “,
On Wednesday, September 20, 2023, the respected Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Qais Ismail Ibrahim, the Honorable Scientific Associate and Administrative Associate, the Honorable Head of the Department of Biology, and a number of the college’s teachers were attended the viva.
In this study, presented by the M.Sc. Student Ayman Younus Fathi in the Department of Biology, the toxic effect of eight heavy metals, molybdenum, iron, zinc, copper, chromium, cadmium, nickel, and lead, was investigated with ten concentrations of each metal: 0.078, 0.156, 0.312, 0.625, 1.25, 2.5, 5, 10, 20, and 40 mM, on the two genera of the family Rhizobiaceae, the first is the genus Rhizobium (RhA3, RhA2, RhA1), which was isolated from the root nodules of three types of leguminous plants, namely clover, alfalfa, and fenugreek…………..
