Master’s Thesis in College of Education for Pure Science, Department of Mathematics

Part of the discussion was attended by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr.  Jassim Fatehi Ali, the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Yaser Yahya Qasim, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Younis Saadi Saeed, and a number of the faculty members from the department.
The study, presented by the student Harith Muqdad Ahmed from the Department of Mathematics, addressed the application of the projective space PG(n,17) where n = 2, 3, 4, and 5, and the projective space PG(6, q) where q = 2, 3, 5, in coding theory and the identification of codes of type [n, k, d]_q-code on the Kahløa field of ranks 2, 3, 5, 17. The parameters of the code length, n, and the code dimensions, k, were calculated. Subsequently, the distance d, with the error correction e, was determined according to the initial matrix, whether the experiment was ideal or not.
The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Raeda Daood Mahmoud, and Professor Dr. Najm Abdul-Zahra Mukhrab and Assistant Professor Dr. Sabeeh Wadeea Iskandar as members, and Professor Dr. Nada Yaseen Qasim as both a member and supervisor.
The Dean of the College presented a letter of thanks and appreciation to Professor Dr. Najm Abdul-Zahra Mukhrab from the College of Science at Al-Mustansiriya University for his travel and participation in the student’s discussion.
The master’s thesis was accepted. Congratulations to the student and his supervisor on this scientific achievement.
