Master’s Thesis in the College of Education for Pure Science, Department of Chemistry…

A master’s thesis entitled “A Study of Adsorption Isotherms of Some Industrial Dyes Using Activated Carbon and Etplakite Clay” was discussed in the College of Education for Pure Science at the University of Mosul on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.
The study, submitted by the student Qahtan Hamid Khalil Muhammad Al-Abdali from the Department of Chemistry, addressed the treatment of contaminated water with industrial dyes (orthotolidine, dimethylaniline, trimethylaniline) using a simple adsorption technique using commercial activated carbon and Etplakite clay, which is common in the western regions of Iraq.
The discussion committee was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Shatha Sabeeh Othman, and Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Muhammad Amin Abdullah and Lecturer Dr. Alaa Abdul-Aziz Ahmed as members, and Assistant Professor Dr. Safwan Abdul-Sattar Muhammad as both member and supervisor.
The master’s thesis was accepted. Congratulations to the student and his supervisor on this academic achievement.
