In fulfillment of the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (quality education), a master’s thesis entitled “Forecasting Using the Stochastic Gaussian Regression Model with Application” was defended in the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Mosul on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. The thesis defense was attended by the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Azzam Salahuddin Younis.
The study, presented by the student Zahraa Duraid Dawood Suleiman Al-Khudouja from the Department of Mathematics, addressed the use of the stochastic Gaussian regression model as an alternative to the complex stochastic computer model. The stochastic Gaussian regression model was applied to a real stochastic computer model, represented by an electrical circuit function. The stochastic Gaussian regression model was then verified using random measures, such as mean and variance.
The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Zakaria Yahya Nouri, with Assistant Professor Dr. Rekan Abdul-Aziz Ahmed and Assistant Professor Dr. Ghanem Mahmoud Zahir as members, and Assistant Professor Dr.Younis Hazem Ismail.
The master’s thesis was accepted. Congratulations to the student and supervisor on this scientific achievement.
