Master’s Thesis at the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Department of Mathematics…

In fulfillment of the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (Quality Education), a master’s thesis entitled “Numerical Solution of an Electromagnetic Problem in Cartesian Coordinates” was defended at the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Mosul on Sunday, August 10, 2025.
Part of the thesis defense was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Jassim Fatehi Ali, the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Azzam Salahuddin Younis, and the Head of the Mathematics Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Abdul-Qader Bilal. The study, submitted by the student Maryam Muthanna Muhammad from the Department of Mathematics, examined fluid flow and heat transfer via convection, conduction, and radiation within a horizontal, inclined square channel. The study examined the influence of governing parameters, including the radiation parameter, Rayleigh number, Darcy number, Hartmann number, and Prandtl parameter, in addition to the effect of the inclination angle on temperature and flow velocity within the channel.
The discussion committee was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Razzaq Muhammad, with Assistant Professor Dr. Ghanem Muhammad Saleh and Assistant Professor Dr. Junaid Idrees Mustafa as members, and Professor Dr. Alaa Abdul-Raheem Ahmed Hamoudat as both member and supervisor.
The master’s thesis was accepted. Congratulations to the student and supervisor for this scientific achievement.
