Discussion of a master thesis on (a comparative study of space organization, architectural styles in the Othman era in Iraq – a visual analysis of mosques style)
In the presence of the dean of the College of Engineering, a master’s thesis was discussed in the Department of Architecture
at the University of Mosul (a comparative study of the space organization of architectural styles in the Othman era in Iraq –
a visual analysis of the style of mosques) for the student Rasha Adel Najm Abo on Thursday 9-1-2020.
The Thesis included (the architecture of Iraqi mosques, which had its distinctive style,
which was subject to change during the Othman era, influenced by the Othman style,
and the focus was on analyzing the visual characteristics of space using
the software of satellite installation and optical proverbs – Izofest).
The Thesis concluded that there is a difference in the numerical values of visual analysis between Iraqi mosques
(in Mosul, Baghdad, Kurdistan, compared to Istanbul mosques, which represent the crystallization of the Othman style.
The Thesis recommended investing the findings of the research in the future designs of mosques.The discussion committee consisted of the following:1. Asst.Prof. dr.
