University of Mosul : Discussion of master thesis tagged with ( An analytical and numerical study of the vertical vibration of the foundations of machines placed on the soil surface)
A Master thesis was discussed in Department of Civil Engineering / College of Engineering / University of Mosul and tagged with ( An analytical and numerical study of the vertical vibration of the foundations of machines placed on the soil surface) for the student ( Ahmed Ibrahim Mohammed ) on Monday (17/08/2020) on the discussion room in Department of Civil Engineering, and by relying on electronic remote communication with some of the discussion committee members .
The thesis included conducting a study on foundations of circular, square and rectangular shapes and studying the effect ofPoisson’smodulusandnon-dimensionalfrequency.The shape and dimensions of the foundations, as well as the ratio of length to width(L / B)For therectangle based on thevertical displacementof thesebases, it was an analysis of theprocess ofvibrationvertical in this study ,dependingon theanalytical and numerical methods.
The study found that there was a decrease in the value of the maximum vertical displacement in both methods with an increase in the base dimensions. The study also showed thatthereisnoeffect of thePoissonratioon the maximum displacement at thelowdimensionalfrequenciesand for all types of foundations.The discussion committee consistedof: –
