M.Sc. thesis at College of Engineering discusses ” Modeling and Analyzing OFDM optical Wireless communication system “

A master’s thesis in Department of Electrical Engineering / College of Engineering / University of Mosul discusses ” Modeling and Analyzing OFDM optical Wireless communication system ” submitted by postgraduate student (Hussniya Jasim Abdullah) on Thursday, 03/12/2020.In this thesis, two new hybrid schemes to reduce the Papr of the OFDM-based VLC system have been proposed by combining signal cutting technologies with both the combine and the Partition transition Sequence (PTS) technologies, as these new proposed hybrid methods will reduce the impact of Papr. It reduces power requirements and improves the performance of the bit error rate in the VLC bit error rate.
In the first proposed hybrid method, he combined the signal cutting, and companding methods; In order to reduce Papr, achieve an improvement in OFDM-based VLC performance, this hybrid method has been evaluated at different encapsulation levels and evaluated for different sizes of IFFT. As for the second proposed hybrid method, the signal cutting method was combined with the PTS method and this method was evaluated in terms of reducing Papr and improving the performance of BER.
The simulation results obtained indicated that the first proposed hybrid method provided a reduction of PAPR value more than 2 DB compared to the basic CCDF VLC-OFDM signal of -1 10, and the first proposed hybrid method showed an improvement in the performance of the bitrate error (BER). In the second proposed hybrid method, Papr was reduced by 2.5 dB compared to the original VLC-OFDM signal at the complementary cumulative distribution function (CCDF) of 10-1, and the results showed a good improvement in the bit error rate performance. The discussion committee consistedof:
