Department of Civil Engineering at College of Engineering held its second scientific symposium for the academic year 2020/2021 titled “The Possibility of UtilizationBuilding Waste in Road Construction works in Mosul” in cooperation with Mosul Municipality Directorate on Tuesday, Feb 23, 2021 On Al-Furat hall of Dams and Water Resources Engineering Department.The symposium held under the patronage of the Rector Prof. Dr. Kossay Kamalaldeen Al-Ahmadi, in presence of Prof. Dr. Bayar Jaafar Al-Sulayvani (Dean of College of Engineering), Heads of the scientific Departments at the College, Assistant Director of the Municipality for Services Affairs, Representatives of Nineveh Governorate Directorates, Iraqi Engineers Union-Ninaveh Branch, and private sector companies working in the city.The axes included lectures on utilization of building waste in road constructionworks and construction works as well as their use as layers under the foundations. The symposium also included present a certificates of appreciation and distinction shields to the Participants from Department of Civil Engineering and the Engineers in NinevehGovernorate Directorates.
