Within the continuing scientific activities of the faculty members at College of Engineering, Dr. Ahmed Ali Mohammed Al-Ogaidi, a Lecturer in Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering authored and published a scientific book entitled “Engineering Drawing and Descriptive Geometry”.The book include (14) chapters and (6) appendices of (393) pages, including a general introduction about Engineering Drawing and the tools used in it, Descriptive Geometry and point projection, and an explanation of the basic engineering processes, types of engineering drawing, projection theory, and how to write dimensions in engineering drawing.The book dealt with drawing stereoscopes by analogous perspective method, how to deduce the missing projection, and an explanation of the concepts of traditional engineering drawing in addition to the most prominent descriptive engineering topics.it can be adopted as a useful reference book for College of Engineering students in all its departments, students of technical and technical institutes as well as students of industrial preparatory schools, as it includes the foundations and principles of engineering drawing reinforced with practical examples as well as a large number of issues and practical exercises.The author gave a copy of his book to Deanship of the College and the libraries of all departments.Congratulations to Dr. Ahmed Al-Ogaidi for this achievement and for more scientific brilliance.
