M.Sc. thesis at college of Engineering on ” Nonlinear Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Plates Supported on Soil “
A Master’s thesis was discussed in Department of Civil Engineering / college of Engineering at University of Mosul entitled ” Nonlinear Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Plates Supported on Soil ” submitted by postgraduate student (Hameed Stephan Hameed Tozy) on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.The thesis included the nonlinear behavior of soil-based concrete plates using the instruction method and using (DARC3) program, in which the reaction coefficient of the elastic substrate was added to the linear using (Winkler) method under the effect of different loads. The thesis found that if values of the reaction coefficients of soil layer and plate thickness increase lead to a decrease in the deviation, it was also found that the case of close support gives less deflection than in the case of simple anchors. The study recommended the introduction of the nonlinear soil effect and the case study of free plate attribution.
