Master thesis at Department of Civil Engineering on ” Effect of Tunnel-Soil-Structure Interaction on the response of high-rise Building under Seismic Load “
A Master thesis was discussed in Department of Civil Engineering /College of Engineering/University of Mosul, entitled ” Effect of Tunnel-Soil-Structure Interaction on the response of high-rise Building under Seismic Load “on Tuesday(24/8/2021) submitted by postgraduate student ( Zaid Fathi Khalaf Al-Lwaizy ).The thesis aimed tostudy the effect of underground facilities on the seismic performance of nearby surface facilities in the presence of the combined effect(theoverlap of the influence of the tunnel, soil and origin). The thesis concluded that the importance of taking the interference effect of the soil and origin intoaccountin theanalysis and design facilities above theground built on thesoil quickly stress less than acut of600m/sec aswell as theresults showed thatincreasing theproportion of theoffset horizontal between thefloors of theorigin ofbetween20%,36%in solid soil410m/s, and weak soil170m/s, respectively. The discussion committee was chaired by Assist. Prof. Dr. Mahmood Diab Ahmed, and membership of Assist. Prof. Dr. Salah Wadeea Ibrahim, Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Hani Taha, Assist. Prof. Dr. Moataz AbdulJabbar Al-Obaydi (1st Supervisor), and Dr. Qutayba Nizar Al-Saffar(2nd Supervisor).
