A Higher Diploma Research was discussed in Department of Electrical Engineering / College of Engineering at University of Mosul entitled “Development And evaluation of a laboratory model of a medium electric power transmission line” submitted by (Hassan Ammar Aziz), Supervised By (Sahar Nawaf Ibrahim) Supervised By Dr. Wael Hashem Hamdon on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.The research dealt with the study of developing a laboratory model for a medium-length electric transmission line with one piece, as it was represented using the (T & π) model. The specifications of the line used were voltage (77 kV), line length (180 km), electrical frequency (50 Hz), and electric power of 13 Mw.The research dealt with a brief study of electric transmission lines in general, including their types, sections and advantages, and explained it with sufficient mathematical formulas and equations.Also, the practical experiments of electric power transmission lines were carried out on the applied model, including the no-load test for two representations (T & π) and the short circuit inspection experiment. Very satisfactory results were obtained.
