College of Engineering’s Week Event 2022

Under the patronage of University of Mosul’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Kossay Kamalaldeen Al-Ahmady, the activities of College of Engineering week for the academic year 2021/2022 were launched, which is organized by College of Engineering in cooperation with the United Nations Human Settlements Program ( Un-Habitat ) funded by the European Union on Sunday, May 22, 2022 on the University Grand Theater hall, which will continue to receive visitors until May 25, 2022 .The activities of 1st day included the opening of the event with a welcoming speech by Dr. Omar Mowafaq Al-Yousif (who is in charge of Dean of College of Engineering duties) Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, a speech by Mrs. Ghada Hameed (Project Manager at the European Union Mission in Iraq), and a speech by Mrs. Anna Soave (Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Program). A shield of thanks and appreciation presented to Rector Assistants for Scientific and administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Bayar Jaafar Al-Sulayvani, Mrs. Anna Soave, and Prof. Dr. AbdulRahim Ibrahim Jasim, Head of Civil Engineering Department.The Event attended by Prof. Dr. Muneer Salem Al-Badrany (Rector Assistant for Scientific Affairs), Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi (Rector Assistant for Administrative Affairs), a number of deans of the colleges, heads of engineering departments, directorates of Nineveh Province, and a large number of Lecturers and students.Then, the projects exhibition for college of engineering students and exhibition of companies participating in the event was opened, where the projects were presented and explained by the students, in addition to presentation of the companies’ products. After the break, the first scientific session, which was moderated by Mrs. Rawya Marwan and six lectures presented by Dr. Ahmed Al-Omari, Dr. Emad Noel on reconstruction of places of worship in city of Mosul, a lecture by Prof. Sabah Hussein on air pollution, a lecture by Dr. Mazin Hashim on identifying kinship relations through the skin, a lecture by Dr. Abdulwadood Shaker from University of Tikrit on plastic recycling, and a lecture by Dr. Sarah Mahmood from University of Kufa for sustainable cities. finally, a presentation on UNDP projects at University of Mosul.
