The fourth and final day of College of Engineering’s week activities included short lectures by for lecturers from College of Engineering and a competition for projects of the 4th stages. The first session was started by Dr. Mowafaq Ali Hamadi (North Refineries Company) gave a lecture on water desalination, followed by Assist. Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Habbo (Mechanical Engineering Department) presented a lecture on pollutants emitted from engines. And followed by three lectures in electrical engineering specialty was presented by Dr. Salwan Samir Sabry gave a lecture on solar photovoltaic energy, Dr. Farhad Ezzaldeen gave a lecture on 5th generation of mobile, and Mr. Firas Sami presented a lecture on cyber security. Then four lectures in computer engineering specialty. The lectures were about wireless sensor networks by Dr. Salah Abdulghani Jaro, Artificial Touch Intelligence by Mr. Mohammed Tariq Mohammed, Internet applications by Mr. Mudher Ahmed, and sustainability by Ms. Joanne Ethel.The second session started with three lectures, including on light pollution by Dr. Reem Ali, on employing the principles of sustainability by Ms. Asdaa Abdulhameed, and on the element of Iwan for Mr. Sinan Mohammad and Mrs. Anwar Mishaal.The closed sessions ended with the effectiveness of the projects of the final stages competition, which is that the students of the projects present their ideas and projects in a period not exceeding three minutes in front of an Arbitration Committee to be evaluated in terms of the project idea, method of work and method of presentation and presentation. At the end of the competition, a group of students qualified for the first places and were awarded prizes. It should be noted that the students of Department of Mechatronics Engineering and Department of Computer Engineering obtained the first places in the competition. A field visit was also made for a group of students, accompanied by lecturers, to a group of eligible or under construction university buildings to see the engineering work there, supervised by UNDP.
