Conclusion of College of Engineering Week activities 2022
College of Engineering Week activities 2022 concluded with a field visit to Al-Yarmook Park inside Mosul. It is a park that contains parts under construction such as leveling and construction works, planting works and other parts that have been completely reconstructed such as playgrounds.The visit consisted of a group of lecturers and students. The beginning of the visit was a gathering in the closed hall of the park to attend a speech from Mrs. Anna Soave (Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Program in Iraq, Un-Habitat), responsible for the reconstruction of the park. Then, followed by a lecture by Saad Saleh Diab, Mamoon Abdulwahhab Ahmed and Islam Mahmood Abdel on the method and art of debates, who are former college alumni and international coaches for debates.A tour was also made in the park and a view of the engineering works under construction, including the central dancing fountain and the construction works around it, wells, water pumps, solar cells, and others. The visit concluded with a sporting activity, which is the final of the five-a-side football championship for College of Engineering’s students, with the referee Mr. Mohammed Faris from College of Physical Education. Where Department of Architecture engineering team won as a champion of College of Engineering against Department of Civil Engineering team with a score of 4 x 3. The Electrical Engineering Department team came in 3rd place. While Dams and Water Resources Engineering Department team came in 4th place.
Congratulations to Department of Architecture team as a champion of College of Engineering in five-a-side football.
