A Higher Diploma Research was discussed in Department of Electrical Engineering / College of Engineering at University of Mosul entitled “Digital Signal Processing Algorithms for ECG-wearable devices” submitted by (Altaf Nameer Makki), Supervised By(Dr. Mahmoud Jassim Mohammed)on Sunday, June 26, 2022.The research dealt with the digital signal generated by the electrocardiogram has been processed using multiple algorithms in order to get rid of different noises have been buried in the ECG signal due to different activating , as the different types of noise that affect the ECG signal were studied in this project , as well as ways to reduce this noise , and finally , effective digital filters were designed to pass the ECG signal , to reduce the effect of noise.The research shows the role of preprocessing using algorithms in filtering and reducing noise components , which facilitates the diagnosis of various heart disorders in portable devices.
