Under the patronage of University of Mosul’s President, Prof. Dr. Kossay Kamalaldeen Al-Ahmady, and under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdulrahim Ibrahim Jasim, Dean of College of Engineering, and In order to activate the joint cooperation between Iraqi universities and international universities, Department of Mechanical Engineering held a workshop entitled “Prospect for Scientific Research Collaboration between Mechanical Engineering Department- University of Mosul and Mechanical Engineering College – University of Belgrade” on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022 via (Zoom) electronic platform.The workshop was attended by Dr. Ayman Talib Hamid (Assist. Dean for Scientific Affairs), Dr. Omar Mohammed Hamdoon (Head of Mechanical Engineering Department), and faculty members of the department.The workshop began with a welcome speech by Dean of college of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Abdulrahim Ibrahim Jasim.The workshop included a detailed presentation from the Serbian side about Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at University of Belgrade, its departments, its subspecialties, and the capabilities of the faculty.On the other hand, there was a detailed presentation of Department of Mechanical Engineering at University of Mosul, laboratories, classrooms, and research specializations available in the department. The meeting included introducing Al-Rafidain Engineering Journal and the possibility of publishing it, in addition to introducing the 6th International Engineering Conference which will be held soon by College of Engineering. There was a welcome for research cooperation by the Serbian side.There was a section for inquiries by the lecturers, which were answered by the Serbian side.At the end of the workshop, both the Serbian side and the committee of the department praised this step and that it helps in strengthening future academic relations between the two sides.
