PH.D dissertation defense on “Parallel Processing Network Topologies on A Distributed System With Rescheduling Tasks of The Contributed Computers”

Department of Computer Engineering  / College of Engineering at University of Mosul discussed a PH.D dissertation on “Parallel Processing Network Topologies on A Distributed System With Rescheduling Tasks of The Contributed Computers” for the student (Aseel Thamer Ibrahem), supervised by Prof. Dr. Basil Shukur Mahmood on Wednesday, Nov 08, 2023.

The dissertation focused on the creation of a software application that will be used on an 8*8 dynamic multistage network exchange based on client/server Principles, allowing the user to select from a number of topologies that can be used depending on the application. There can be any number of nodes in the network. We looked at convolutional operations and matrix multiplication are two distinct applications.

This study looks into the numerous ways a multistage network design can mimic supercomputer systems that employ extensive parallel computing.

The design of several parallel processor network topologies in PaaS and the implementation of the cloud computing system SaaS utilizing a distributed system are covered in this thesis. This cloud is used to schedule jobs for the computers designated to simulate the parallel system, dynamically pick the suitable network architecture based on the nature of the problem solved on the parallel processing system, and solve problems that were solved by parallel systems. Then testing the integrated system.
