Master thesis on Developing of Monitoring and Control System Based on Intelligent Algorithms for Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) in Cement Plants
A Master thesis was discussed in Department of Electrical Engineering / College of Engineering at University of Mosul entitled “Developing of Monitoring and Control System Based on Intelligent Algorithms for Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) in Cement Plants” submitted by (Taha Nofan dakheel), Supervised By Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Obaid Mustafa as first supervisor and Dr. Mehdi J. Marie as second supervisor on Thursday, March, 14, 2024.
The thesis presented Developing the monitoring and control process for electrostatic precipitators in cement factories using the DENKOVI control device. It is also worked on representing the system mathematically (Transfer function) through input and output data and using Matlab system identification, as well as finding the optimal values for the PID controller using the GWO theory used in controlling and monitoring the precipitator.
The thesis discusses the results, the devices used, how to transfer signals to the computer, and how to develop the monitoring process for the system. It is also discussed how to represent the real system that was studied into a mathematical equation, transfer function.
The results showed Transferring the signals of the basic system in the operation process to the computer, and it is possible to transfer them wirelessly via the industrial Internet of think (IIOT) to a further place, and creating a mathematical representation of the system in the simulation program MATLAB, as well as calculating the best values for the factors Kp, Ki, Kd used in the DENKOVI monitoring and control device.
