The Industrial Advisory Council (Experts Council) of Department of Dams and Water Resources Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Mosul, held its regular meeting on Monday, June 3, 2024, with the attendance of all council members. The meeting was dedicated to discussing the educational objectives of the department’s academic program, the mandatory graduate attributes, and the course curriculum content.

The council also reviewed the department’s program designed to achieve the mandatory graduate outcomes as required by engineering program accreditation standards. Regarding the curriculum, the council emphasized the importance of achieving integration between academic course content and learning outcomes, ensuring alignment between the academic institution and labor market needs.

Furthermore, several proposals were presented to increase focus on emerging topics in the job market, particularly in the fields of water resources and the applications of artificial intelligence within the scope of dam and water resources engineering.
