Meeting of Industrial Advisory Board of Department of Civil Engineering

As part of the periodic meetings of the Industrial Advisory Council of Civil Engineering Department, the first meeting for the academic year 2024–2025 was convened on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in Civil Engineering Department. The meeting was attended by members of the Industrial Advisory Council, the Head of Civil Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Moataz AbdulJabbar Al-Obaidi, as well as members of the department’s academic advisory board.

The agenda focused on strategies for implementing the National Strategy for Education and Higher Education, structured around three key themes:

  1. Proposing the introduction of new undergraduate specializations aligned with labor market demands.

  2. Evaluating the current academic curricula and exploring opportunities for their revision and enhancement.

  3. Advancing summer training programs to strengthen students’ practical skills and better prepare them for the evolving needs of the job market.
