Workshop in Department of Electrical Engineering on “Formulating the Research Problem and Clarifying Its Methodological Approaches”

As part of the program for developing research skills among postgraduate students and within the activities of College of Engineering, and in line with the college’s efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, Department of Electrical Engineering organized a workshop entitled “Formulating the Research Problem and Clarifying Its Methodological Approaches” on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

The workshop was attended by postgraduate students from the Department of Electrical Engineering.

The workshop aimed to enable postgraduate students to understand and formulate research problems with scientific accuracy by defining the concept and importance of the research problem in building sound scientific research, distinguishing it from the research question and study hypothesis, and providing the participants with skills to select appropriate problems while avoiding common formulation errors. It also sought to enhance their ability to determine suitable research methodologies consistent with the nature of the problem, thus enabling them to develop solid and well-structured research projects from the early stages of their academic work.

The workshop was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Sharaf Al-Deen Al-Yozbaki (Lecturer at Department of Electrical Engineering).
