College of Engineering Holds a Workshop for Postgraduate Students in Department of Computer Engineering
As part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s program to develop postgraduate students’ skills, and in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals—particularly Goal 4 “Quality Education” , Department of Computer Engineering at College of Engineering organized a workshop entitled “The Importance of Data Security in Scientific Research Files.”
The workshop, prepared and presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Mayada Fares Ghanem, was held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, in the Discussion Hall and attended by a number of master’s and Ph.D students.
The session highlighted the importance of securing research data against technical and human risks by applying information security principles and best practices throughout all stages of research, from data collection to storage, sharing, and publication.
