Workshop on “The Importance of Mendeley Software in Organizing Scientific References for Postgraduate Students”
As part of the scientific research skills development program for postgraduate students, and in line with University of Mosul’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, Department of Electrical Engineering organized a workshop entitled “The Importance of Mendeley Software in Organizing Scientific References for Postgraduate Students” on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
The workshop aimed to enhance postgraduate students’ proficiency in using Mendeley as one of the most important digital tools for managing and organizing scientific references. The software enables researchers to systematically collect and arrange sources, thereby improving the quality and accuracy of academic research. It also provides an integrated workspace that allows users to create personal digital libraries, classify references by topics or chapters, and retrieve information efficiently.
The session highlighted Mendeley as an effective tool for organizing research efforts, improving citation management, and achieving high standards of precision and professionalism in scientific writing.
The workshop was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Sharaf Aldeen Al-Yozbaki from Department of Electrical Engineering.
