Workshop in Department of Communications and Intelligent Digital Systems Entitled “Student Information System and Learning Management System (SIS & Moodle LMS)”
As part of the scientific activities of Department of Communications and Intelligent Digital Systems at College of Engineering – University of Mosul, a workshop was held entitled “Student Information System and Learning Management System (SIS & Moodle LMS)” within the framework of Higher Education Platform (HEPIQ), which aims to enhance the e-learning environment and link educational outcomes to digital transformation in higher education institutions.
The workshop provided a detailed explanation of the components of the Student Information System (SIS) and its integration with the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS), highlighting its role in improving the quality of education, facilitating academic performance tracking for both students and faculty members, and presenting the key technical features that support the automation of educational and administrative processes.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness of the importance of implementing modern electronic systems in university education, in line with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s strategy for comprehensive digital transformation and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure).
