Participation of Department of Architecture Engineering in First Architectural Forum at University of Baghdad
As part of the scientific activities of College of Engineering at University of Mosul, Department of Architecture Engineering participated in First Architectural Forum organized by Department of Architecture at University of Baghdad, held on October 21–22, 2025.
The department was represented by Dr. Hassan Mahmood Qasim and Asst. Lecturer Mohammed Mahfoudh Taha.
The forum aimed to bring together the Departments of Architecture from 27 public and private universities across Iraq to renew connections, exchange experiences, and discuss the current state, challenges, and aspirations of architectural education in Iraq, in line with global developments in the field.
The event included an exhibition of outstanding graduation projects for the academic year 2023–2024 from the participating universities. It also featured intensive and open discussion sessions, serving as a starting point for future, more specialized meetings.
At the conclusion of the forum, pioneer academic architects in Iraq were honored, in addition to recognizing the participating departments, including Department of Architecture, College of Engineering, University of Mosul.
