Ministerial Committee Visits Department of Architecture Engineering to Establish a Master’s Program in Urban Design

College of Engineering at University of Mosul received a ministerial committee tasked with studying the proposal to establish a Master’s program in Architecture / Urban Design within Department of Architecture Engineering , with the aim of reviewing the available capabilities and infrastructure required for launching the program.

The committee was composed of:

  • Prof. Dr. Sabeeh Lafta Farhan Ali, Chair – College of Engineering, University of Wasit

  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Imran Lateef Aboud, Member – College of Engineering, University of Babylon

  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Amjad Mahmood Abdullah, Member – College of Engineering, University of Baghdad

  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Arshad Abdul Jabbar Abdullah, Member – College of Engineering, Al-Nahrain University

The delegation was received by Asst. Prof. Dr. Omar Mohammed Hamdoon, Dean of the College of Engineering; Asst. Prof. Dr. Ayman Taleb Hameed, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs; Dr. Basam Ihsan Abdulqadir, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Omar Hazim Kharoofa, Head of Department of Architecture, along with members of the department’s Scientific Committee and Postgraduate Studies Committee.

The ministerial committee reviewed the program establishment file and submitted its report to the Ministry regarding the evaluation.

This proposed program comes as part of College of Engineering’s strategic plan to meet the needs of the labor market and enhance teaching and research capabilities within University of Mosul.
