College of Engineering at University of Mosul Launches “My School” Initiative to Support the Educational Environment in Nineveh
In line with its community service mission and commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals — particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) — College of Engineering at University of Mosul implemented the “My School” Initiative on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in coordination with the General Directorate of Education in Nineveh / Voluntary Work Division.
The initiative aimed to enhance the educational environment in local schools, promote volunteerism, and strengthen social responsibility among students. It was carried out under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Omar Mohammed Hamdoon, Dean of College of Engineering, accompanied by his scientific and administrative assistants. The activity also involved Student Activities Division / Voluntary Work Unit, Administrative Affairs and Services Division, and Media and Government Communications Division in the college.
This initiative comes as part of a series of community-oriented activities launched by College of Engineering to support educational institutions in Nineveh Province, strengthen collaboration between the university and the education sector, and foster the values of community service among its students and staff.
