Women’s Affairs Committee at College of Engineering – University of Mosul Launches an Awareness Campaign on Climate Change
As part of the scientific activities of College of Engineering and its efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals—particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and Goal 13 (Climate Action)—and in line with the Third National Action Plan for Women, Peace, and Security (2025), Women’s Affairs Committee, in cooperation with University’s Women’s Affairs Unit, organized an awareness campaign on Tuesday, 18 November 2025, focusing on climate change and its health, economic, and security risks.
The campaign featured digital awareness posters displayed on electronic screens across the college to reach the widest possible audience.
The initiative aimed to introduce the impacts of climate change, raise health awareness regarding related diseases, highlight economic consequences, and encourage practical steps and preventive behaviors to reduce climate impacts.
This campaign embodies the College of Engineering’s commitment to sustainable development and promoting environmental awareness.
