Master’s Thesis Defense on Road Congestion at Civil Engineering Department

On Monday, 08/02/2021 Eng. Nada Abdullah Younis ( Postgraduate student at Civil Engineering Department ) successfully defended her thesis entitled “Road congestion as a Driver’s behavior in Spite of Traffic Flow Complexity for the Balance system”.The thesis included a new way to assess highway conditions and classify them as congested or uncongested roads by recording video and sorting the number of changes in route rather than finding traffic density, delay rate, and flow.it had reached that the extraction of a new variable, which is a type of traffic activity that depends on the completion of beginning of the correct path completely and properly and within the parameters imposed by the simulation program. The discussion committee consisted of :1. Assistant Prof. Dr. Mohammed Yaseen Taha … (Chairman)2. Assistant prof. Dr. Abdulkhaleq Mal-Allah Mohammed … (Member)3. Dr. Ahmed Subhi AbdulJabbar … (Member)4.
